DROP IN/EMERGENCY PROGRAMS
DROP IN/EMERGENCY FOOD AND CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION
CFLS provides emergency food and clothing to homeless and low-income families and individuals as well as women returning home from a period of incarceration.
Food bags are distributed every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and at other times with a referral notice.
Clothing is distributed from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon to women on Wednesdays (by Appointment) and Thursdays (walk-ins are welcome), and to men on Fridays. Children's clothing is distributed from Wednesday to Friday.
CFLS Drop-in center also provides case management based on client needs (by appointment/walk-in) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
We provide clients with refreshments Wednesday - Friday from 10:00am - 12:00 noon.
CFLS also participates in the Senior Grocery Plus Program which provides healthy groceries monthly (second Wednesday of each month) to seniors aged 60 and over who live in the District of Columbia and meets eligibility.
