Through partnerships with local companies, churches and generous individuals, Community Family Life Services is able to spread goodwill with a number of holiday programs. During the Thanksgiving holiday each family is given a bountiful food basket with all the necessary items for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We request donors to provide the following items for our client's Thanksgiving Basket.
- 1 gift card to a grocery store (clients prefer visa gift cards which can be used in any grocery stores)
- 2 boxes of mashed potatoes
- 2 packets of gravy mix
- 1 tin disposable pan for cooking the turkey
- 1 packet of rolls
- 1 lb. of green beans
- 2 cans cranberry sauce
- 1/2 lb. of butter (2 sticks)
- 1 large or 2 small packages of stuffing mix
- 1 can pumpkin pie mix
- 1 pie crust
During the winter holidays CFLS coordinates an Adopt-a-Family program where families and individuals in our housing, mentoring and case-management programs are paired with individuals and/or organizations throughout the community. Adoptee families provide basic wish lists and adoptive groups collaborate to provide gifts for each individual or family member.
